COC Realty started a large scale improvement project at Ardager Residence to improve the water delivery system to apartments in 2019. While the project was to be implemented within 2019, there were some unforeseen challenges because of the building design and existing water pipelines.
Together with TCO technical team, COC Realty have done a full scale investigation to find the root cause of the problem. The investigation results show that there are following system shortfalls that need to be fixed:
1. The water distribution system from the main technical area needs to be improved
2. The trunk lines supplying the water to each block of the building need more capacity to cater for peak hours demand
3. The pipelines network on the floor level needs to connect to each apartment properly.
Of the three items above, 1 & 2 will have no impact on the residents, but for implementing item 3, COCR maintenance team will need to have access to the apartments. Keeping in view the scope of work, COCR will do the works on a floor by floor basis and the whole floor will be vacated. The affected residents will be provided apartments within Ardager and they will still have access to their apartments in case they leave their belongings there.
The duration of work on each floor will be 10 days. During the project, there will be water shutdown for up to maximum 3 hours from 0900 till 1200 on Wednesday and Thursday. COCR will be providing advance notice to all the residents. The
Project Plan and
Shut Down Schedule are available on the webpage and the residents can see the times they may be affected.
